Chain - Keep Us Together

I have a habit of when I miss one thing or day of my to-do list, my whole life gets derailed for a few days.  I look at what I missed and think, "Well, I didn't do it.  So now I have to start over or makeup for it tomorrow - who has time for that?"  And it could be something as simple as a breathing exercise to help with my singing - which is important to me.  Or so I think it would be.

Sometimes it's not.  I don't doubt that I want to be a musician/songwriter/guitarist/singer, but sometimes I don't want to put in the work on the latter.  That's the truth.  I don't always want to practice singing in the way I want to write songs or play guitar.  I want to do it because I don't want to depend on someone else all the time to sing my songs, but I also would rather write songs!  It's a conundrum of sorts.

The point is, I use an app called Way of Life and my goal for the week is to not miss a day in my eight things.  So far I'm doing well.  My eight things are:

  • Up by 9AM
  • Meditate
  • Stretch
  • Mobilize - 10 Minutes
  • Practice yoga twice a week
  • Take a walk (or do 30 squats if it rains)
  • Vocal Exercises
  • Read for 30 minutes or more

I haven't had an all-green / perfect chain for all of them yet.  So I'm going to fix that.

And then I hope to never break the chain.
