One Post at a Time

I write in my journal every night without fail. Or if I do fail, it's because I am exhausted. And then I make up for it in the morning.

I also write in the morning...94% of the time thanks to Julia Cameron and the Artist's Way.

I want to write here every day.

Why? I don't really know, but I hope the answer comes to me in the process. Some quick thoughts as to why I want to do this:

I value commitment. And I value consistency.

I have experienced the power of those two combined and if there is anything more powerful than that combo, I'd love to encounter it.

I believe in putting myself out there, though sometimes I balk at that. We're a strange species, aren't we? I waffle from, "Yes! This is great and worth sharing!" to "No one wants to hear what i have to say."

The thing is, those can be true at the same time. What I have to offer IS worth sharing, AND it won't matter to everyone. My goal isn't everyone. My aim is for the people with whom my ideas and offerings resonate with - be them musical, written, or otherwise - find themselves glad for encountering and engaging with them.

Come this time next year, I will have 365 posts. I think that's cool. and even cooler is that it's just one day at a time.
